All White Ceramic or Stainless-Steel Crown

A minor with extensively decayed teeth for whom other filing options have not been successful, our dentists recommend tooth restoration with the help of a stainless-steel crown. First, the decay is removed. Then, the stainless-steel crowns are placed on exposed teeth and the pulpotomy procedure or the root canal is done to protect them from further fracturing, since the rear molars are used for chewing, and therefore need to withstand quite some pressure.

Space Maintainer

A Child may need a space maintainer if he loses a tooth early or has a baby (primary) tooth extracted due to dental decay. A space maintainer is an appliance custom-made by a dentist or orthodontist in acrylic or metal material. It can be either removable or cemented in a child's mouth. Its purpose is to keep the space open to allow the permanent tooth to erupt and come into place. Baby teeth are vital for the development of the teeth, jaw bones and muscles; and also help guide permanent teeth into position when the baby teeth are lost. If a space is not well maintained, then teeth can shift into the open space and orthodontic treatment may be required. Not every child who loses a baby tooth early or to dental decay requires a space maintainer. However, the professional consultation of a dentist or an orthodontist is important to determine the need for a space maintainer.

Pulpotomy

Overlooking tooth decay may sometimes accelerate its spread to the dental nerve, leading to severe pain accompanied by swelling, especially when there is pressure on the affected tooth. However, in “SMILING TOOTH” dental clinics, we are pleased to provide root canal painless treatment for decayed teeth using state-of-the-art technologies, instead of resorting to total removal of teeth.

Applying fluoride to protect teeth from decay

Baby teeth of our children may be prone to decay because of acids produced by the bacteria in the mouth, and so cause damage to tooth enamel that leads to tooth decay.

In “SMILING TOOTH” clinics, we always do best to provide the top types of preventive services to our children's teeth based on advanced techniques. Our services include the application of dental sealants (adhesive fillings), a special white or transparent material applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth without the need to drill a hole in these surfaces. This type of filling is recommended for children prone to tooth decay.

Placing adhesive fillings on the teeth is done fast, comfortable, and requires only one visit to our clinic. The fillings last up to one year, thus ensuring children protection from tooth decay.

There is another technique called fluoridation. Application of fluoride helps prevent the formation of cavities, as it strengthens the tooth enamel against local corrosion. Application of local fluoride protects teeth from decay.

Digital Dental Radiography

In “SMILING TOOTH” dental clinics, we keep ourselves always efficiently informed of the up-to-date developments and techniques in the field of dentistry worldwide. The most significant of these techniques is the digital radiography technology, capable of producing an accurate image much faster than the old traditional ways of using films in radiography, (which are based on exposing the patient to radiation by more than 90%).

This technique stores and displays the captured image easily, quickly and with high accuracy, while using radiation shield for the human body and glands.

Professional Dental Cleaning

“Prevention is better than cure”. “SMILING TOOTH” clinics aim to provide optimal services to keep your and your family's smiles fit and attractive, through the accumulated years of experience our doctors gained in this field.

You just need to visit us periodically to clean the parts of your child's mouth that toothbrushes or dental floss cannot reach. The cleaning process will prevent food from gathering in the teeth. This will prevent food from contributing to dental cavities, or forming the calculus layer on the teeth. In addition, regular dental cleaning helps detect any problems that may affect your children's teeth, such as cavities or gum diseases, and cure them before they get worse.
