Digital dentistry

This department is one of our excellence area in Smiling Tooth Dental Clinics, where all restoration procedures including inlays, crowns, veneers and bridges can be customized and created by using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) with highest level of precision and accuracy possible in a single visit! We have the latest two technologies in CAD/CAM - the CEREC and 3-Shape systems. Your dentist uses the scanner to take a digital image of your prepared tooth (this means no need to make manual dental impressions ) then the computer and the CEREC or 3-Shape software convert the digital picture to a three-dimensional virtual model of your prepped tooth. Afterwards, the dentist designs the crown on the screen and sends the data to the milling machine to carve the porcelain block into the final shape. Finally, the crown is polished and fitted in place
